Another blizzard dumped about 15 inches of snow on us yesterday. We simply don't have any more room to put the stuff! I think this is the most snow we've seen since we've lived here, and it seems like I've been saying that every year now! 😃 We were just a tenth of an inch away from tying the record for snowfall in a single month in January. The record was 59.9, and we got 59.8! So far I think we have had around 125 inches this winter. And March is often the snowiest month! View of our house from the road... There is a building behind there somewhere! It's a good thing I like to climb! But climbing this with trays of baby plants is going to be a challenge! My poor greenhouse has really taken a beating the last few winters. I'm really amazed that it is still standing. Another PVC pipe snapped in some high winds we had the other day. I'm hoping I can get it fixed to last the rest of the winter! The narrow path down the porch stairs. A few of the steps have gone completely missing! And now I need to go dig out the mailbox! 😁 The scary thing is that all this has to melt! I'm hoping and praying spring will start early and slowly this year.

Talk about being snowed in ..We are far below what is normal here in MA...Every time it has snowed it has been mixed with rain/sleet/ and once it flash froze everything...I would be traumatized by all that snow being in my 70s ..I would need to have some sort of access to the outside world physically..Better days are coming Spring is next month and hopefully all that snow will melt away slowly instead of all at once creating havoc. Get out your seed/flower catalogs for a diversion and start planning your garden ...

I heard on the news about your snow amounts. CRAZY. Being in Western Maine (mountains) we too have a lot of snow and under that is several inches of ice. UGH to the ice. The snow is beautiful but I am anxious to see green grass and sprouting flowers. I worry about the Spring with the amount of melting we will have. Flooding is a real possibility with ice jams in the river and run off from the mountains.

Oh wow, that much ice would be awful! We have had some on and off from the occasional thaw and freeze. Before this last storm we had a glaze of freezing rain over the snow and it was just beautiful! The fields looked like lakes when the light was just right!

Aww, thank you for the get well wishes. 😊 We are all doing much better. My father had whooping cough (he's still recovering but much better now), so when the rest of us started coming down with cold-like symptoms we assumed we had it too. But now we are almost all better with hardly a cough at all! So we are assuming we had a completely different bug.

Oh my, Joanna! And the locals here are fussing about their measly 11 inches!
