I have first hand experience using plantain leaves, crushed until the juice oozed out, applied to a brown recluse spider bite, changed the poultice every 10-15 min. The flesh that had begun to rot turned black, kept applying plantain poultices and it all healed up without a scar.

It should be very useful, and does smell a lot better with the lavender oil. :)
