I robbed the Woods-- My sister was my partner in crime this time...so many pretty leaves to choose from! 😊 And does anyone know what the little green plant I'm holding is? It's a low-growing, creeping plant that grows in the woods. The seedpods are heart shaped and remind me of those on Shepherd's Purse. It presses beautifully!

Ye Field Flowers! the gardens eclipse you, 'tis true, I went for another hike in the fields last week and found that the Pearly Everlasting's seeds were ready for harvest. I wasn't really expecting that since it wasn't very long ago that I visited and they still seemed a long way off from being ready, so I had nothing with me to collect the seeds in. I'll have to go back out soon and do some serious seed collecting, but in the meantime I did pick this little bouquet. Walking home with it and trying to keep the tiny seeds from blowing everywhere was like walking with a candle on a breezy day! 😁 After the seeds had been collected (or rather caught as they flew everywhere!), the remaining flower bases still looked so nice that I decided to try them in a vase I picked up last Spring. I've been waiting all this time for the perfect flowers to put in it! I don't know whether the vase is Chinese or Japanese, but decided to use the Japanese fan my aunt gave me as a prop for the pictures. Close-up of the "flowers". Looks like there are still some seeds waiting to float around in my bedroom! I just love this little field flower! The vase now occupies the place of honor on my nightstand, and may well stay there all winter! I'm looking forward to seeing what others have picked today at Rambling in the Garden...it's such a beautiful way to start off the week! Have a wonderful day! 😊
